~Niigata's World-Class History and Culture Tour~2 Nights, 3 Days(Itoigawa, Sado, Niigata Edition)

A course centered around Itoigawa City's jade, Sado's gold mine, and Niigata's “treasures.”
It includes access to nationally designated areas requiring special permission to enter, plus Japanese cultural experiences (Furumachi geisha, taiko drum performance). This plan offers special access to the Kotakigawa Jade Gorge, a designated National Natural Monument, allowing observation of jade rough stones in the river and along the banks. Additionally, with the cooperation of Mr. Ito, who makes his living processing jade products in the Kotaki area, this special package includes a jade rough stone processing experience at his workshop. It combines observation and processing, and you receive the processed jade as a souvenir gift. Furthermore, through explanations by Mr. Ito about the lifestyle and culture sustained by jade, it presents a sustainable tourism model that balances the protection and utilization of jade resources.
In Sado City, you can enjoy a dinner featuring local seasonal ingredients. Furthermore, you can enjoy a private performance by Kodo, a group active not only in Sado but worldwide.
In Niigata City, you can enjoy lunch in normally non-public areas of the Northern Culture Museum, a mansion of a wealthy farmer, and create opportunities to experience Niigata's sake, miso, and other fermented foods. You will also experience the Kitamaebune culture and the Furumachi hanamachi (flower district) culture.
