Bessho Onsen【Plan No. BS01-02】

Bessho Onsen, also known as “Shinshu's Kamakura,” is a historic hot spring town dotted with ancient temples and cultural properties. Visitors can explore the charming hot spring district while touring famous sites like the Kitamuki Kannon and the National Treasure octagonal three-story pagoda. The natural spring water, flowing directly from the source, is popular for its skin-beautifying properties. Enjoy a quiet, atmospheric stay amidst the scenery of the four seasons.

Kitamuki Kannon【Plan No. BS01-02】

Zenkoji Temple is said to grant blessings for the Pure Land of the afterlife, while the North-Facing Kannon grants blessings for this present life. Since Zenkoji faces south and the North-Facing Kannon faces north, facing each other, visiting only one is considered an incomplete pilgrimage. It is said that visiting both is necessary.

Anrakuji Temple【Plan No. BS01-02】

Anrakuji Temple is a Zen temple in Bessho Onsen known for housing Japan's oldest octagonal three-story pagoda. Designated a National Treasure, the pagoda stands quietly amidst the mountains, evoking a sense of history and charm. It can be reached on foot from the hot spring town, allowing visitors to enjoy a stroll while exploring its historical significance.

National Treasure: Zenkoji Temple【Plan No. BS01-02】

Zenkō-ji Temple, enshrining the One-Light Trinity Amida Buddha statue said to be Japan's oldest Buddhist image, boasts a history of approximately 1,400 years since its founding. As a temple for the common people, welcoming all without distinction regardless of sect, it attracts numerous visitors from both Japan and abroad.
